Read more66% of the 92,000+ km EuroVelo network is ready to cycle in 2023 according to the latest EuroVelo Route Development Status Report, marking an increase of 2% compared to 2022. The report, based on data collected from national partners between autumn 2022 and spring 2023, celebrates significant improvements for some routes and countries and aims to inspire the further development of less advanced areas. However, a faster yearly development (5%) is needed to complete the EuroVelo network by 2030.

NECCs are responsible for the implementation, coordination, quality assurance and communication of EuroVelo in the respective countries, and they contribute to the governance and the overall goals of EuroVelo and ECF.
EuroVelo Route Partnerships support the development of a specific route, complementing the work of ECF and NECCs. EuroVelo Route Partnerships generally involve a variety of actors and can be related to ongoing EU-funded projects to develop a route or be separate, ad hoc agreements.
